Black Owl Recruiting is seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Litigation Associate to work out of New York City for a highly reputable client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial litigation, exceptional analytical skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal services. The position offers a competitive starting salary plus a comprehensive benefits program. Salary is commensurate with experience. The salary range for this position is $190,000 to $325,000.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on commercial litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and partners on case strategy.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.
• Manage discovery, including document production and review.
• Stay current on relevant laws and legal trends in commercial litigation.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in New York
• 3-5 years experience in commercial litigation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
