- Posting to general ledger.
- Processing payroll including registering with new state and local taxing authorities
- Handling A/P, A/R, and collections
- Understand and comply with multiple collective bargaining agreements
- Assist with insurance policy renewals
- Maintain our Business License Portfolio Management System
- Prepare and file state sales and use tax when applicable
- Account reconciliations
- Billing and invoicing from the time and attendance software
- Performing general office administrative duties including, but not limited to, answering incoming calls, maintaining office supplies inventory, and managing guard uniforms
- Maintain union rosters, reconcile union dues, pension, and healthcare monthly
- Review, coordinate, and process union audits and other company specific audits
- Processing personnel changes including employee benefit administration for the Chicago and Pittsburgh unions
- Answer employee questions regarding pay and time off accruals
- Medical, Prescription, Vision, and Dental Insurance
- Sick and vacation time offered

- Have a B.S. degree in Accounting ; Payroll experience preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel and Word.
- Experience using HRIS and Time and Attendance software (Paycor or TrackTik preferred)
- QuickBooks experience preferred but not required
- Experience with labor/union relations
- High attention to detail
- Efficient time management
- High alacrity – cheerfulness, willingness, promptness
- Amenable to doing tasks outside of Accounting
