Our Marketing team in Houston has an immediate need for a Marketing Proposal Specialist. The Marketing Proposal Specialist prepares proposals by determining concepts, gathering and formatting information, creating drafts, and obtaining approvals.

What you will do:

• Meets proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review and approval, entering and monitoring data, coordinating requirements with contributors, communicating proposal status information at review meetings, desktop publishing, and producing proposals.
• Coordinates the maintenance of various marketing databases (clients/contacts, projects, and resumes).
• Assists with the planning and coordination of various marketing/corporate events.
• Provides input and maintain graphic standards with consistency.
• Develops designs for postcards, eblasts, proposal covers, tradeshow needs, presentations, etc.
• Assists the marketing department with day-to-day tasks and functions.
• Performs other marketing-related tasks as directed by the Marketing Director and Marketing Manager.

Who you are:

You are a team player with a professional demeanor focused on performing a variety of support functions. As a self-starter you have excellent time and task management skills. You are an accomplished communicator both verbal and written.

What you bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, English, Journalism, Communications or related field preferred.
• In depth knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
• Prior A/E/C firm RFQ/SOQ experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent proofreading, formatting, and editing skills.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy and good organizational skills.
• Accepts and encourages constructive criticism.
• The ability to work under pressure, prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with management, staff, and external contacts.
• Proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Photography and videography skills a plus.
• Graphic design skills: experience in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator a plus.
• Deltek Vision experience a plus.
• Member of SMPS (Society for Marketing Professional Services) a plus.
