Verify approval on all invoices and check requests. Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks. Resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation. Insuring credit is received for outstanding credit memos. Ensure accuracy of account coding of invoices invoices, including sales taxability. Able to prepare and process checks for multiple companies. Update and maintain vendor database. Ensure quality of vendor master data. Able to process and enter up to 200 invoices per week. Reconciles vendor statements with internal receiving records for both PO and Non PO records. Ability to process and follow-up on rush items. Maintains account payable files. 1099 preparation. Special projects as assigned. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION: 2-year degree in Accounting or Business degree required Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative Able to meet deadlines Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills Ability to be an effective team member Must display initiative and work/believe in never ending improvement Proficient with MS Office software, moderate to proficient knowledge of MS Excel.
