Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. Duties:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making processes
- Perform cash flow analysis to monitor liquidity and identify potential risks or opportunities
- Ensure compliance with securities laws and regulations in financial reporting
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather financial data and support cross-functional initiatives
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems, such as Sage or other ERP software
- Conduct research on governmental accounting standards and ensure compliance with applicable regulations

Skills:
- Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accrual accounting methods and techniques
- Experience in balance sheet reconciliation and analysis
- Knowledge of securities laws and regulations related to financial reporting
- Ability to forecast financial trends and make recommendations based on analysis
- Excellent mentoring skills to guide junior accounting staff
- Familiarity with governmental accounting standards is a plus
