Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and promote student learning and development.
- Provide instruction in literacy education, including reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
- Utilize early intervention strategies to identify and address learning difficulties or challenges.
- Incorporate physical education activities into daily lessons to promote health and wellness.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the social and emotional well-being of students.
- Serve as a mentor to students, providing guidance and support in their academic and personal growth.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational experience for students.
- Assess student progress through various methods, such as tests, projects, and observations.
- Provide feedback to students and parents on academic performance and areas for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification or license.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children.
- Knowledge of effective teaching strategies and instructional methods.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience working with students with autism or other special needs is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, parents, and other stakeholders.
