BB Enterprises is Hiring an Accountant Near Omaha, NE
The Holding Company Accountant is responsible for the reconciliation and preparation of monthly and annual reporting for a small holding company, with business interests in Kansas, Nebraska, Minnesota, and South Dakota. The role will develop as the structure continues to grow, with the primary function to manage the monthly closing of entities; oversee the accounts payable function and bookkeeping of the Holding company.
Responsibilities:
- Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage accounts payable and monitor cash flow
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner
- Utilize accounting principles to maintain accurate financial records
- Apply knowledge of sales tax and ensure timely monthly filing
- Prepare and review financial statements
- Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner, record all invoices, and allocate the costs
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Proven experience in accounting roles, with a focus on balance sheet reconciliation and account reconciliation
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles
- Proficiency in using accounting software, Quickbooks, and MS Excel for financial analysis
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
