Job Description: The People (HR) Generalist supports and strengthens our team members and our business, by focusing on employee relations, performance management, recruitment, onboarding, safety, HRIS and benefits administration, and other initiatives that promote a healthy, people-centric culture for approximately 60 employees in the United States. Role/Responsibilities Manage local recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes, including exit interviews, candidate screening, and pre-employment checks. Ensure consistent compliance with employment legislation. Administer Corporate benefit programs and facilitate new hire and annual enrollment processes. Manage the learning management system and monitor team member completion of assigned modules. Drive local performance and compensation review processes in collaboration with the Director of Culture & People Development. Maintain Workday (HR system) and support leaders and team members in its usage. Partner with the corporate payroll team to administer U.S. payroll. Exercise discretion in handling sensitive/confidential information. Foster strong community and team member relations. Provide associates with information on policies/practices, including company benefits. Oversee goal-setting and continuous feedback processes. Support leaders with performance management, disciplinary action, and Performance Improvement Plans. Assist in overseeing facility safety program and coordinate annual safety training. Ensure compliance with OSHA recordkeeping and corrective safety actions. Process Leaves of Absence, STD/LTD, and Workers Comp claims. Promote Wellness Program and charitable company programs locally. Generate required reports. Lead or participate in special projects as required. Maintain personnel files and conduct training as necessary. Handle various other tasks as they arise. Education/Experience: Bachelorβs Degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 2 years of HR experience.
