Overview:
The Customer Service Representative will assist patients with picking up their medications as well as checking out the medications through the Point of Sale (POS) system. The is a clinic-based position located at our newest location in the San Antonio, TX area (722 Isom Road.)
Pharmacy hours of operation: Mon - Tues: 9AM-5:30PM, Wed - Thurs: 9AM-8:30PM, Fri: 9AM-5:30PM and Sat: 9AM - 2PM
About the Role:
- Provides excellent customer service by acknowledging, assisting and showing compassion and professionalism toward our patients in person and over the phone
- Operates the cash register using the POS system
- Balances register drawer accurately each day
- Ensures all daily deposits are properly carried out in a timely way for all POS registers
- Check and enters daily orders from wholesalers
- Assist with routine inventory maintenance tasks
- Maintains a neat and organized workstation
- Retains pharmacy equipment in accordance to company standards
- Accepts prescription orders and evaluate information for completeness and accuracy
- Maintains temperature logs for the pharmacy and medication refrigerators
- Communicates effectively with other members of the pharmacy operations team
- Coordinates and track daily prescriptions deliveries and/or pick up orders
- Ensures all deliveries are made accurately and on time and accounted for
- Proactively identifies problems, escalate if/when appropriate, and provide effective solutions
- Multitasks in a fast-paced environment with several computer programs and patients
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Work schedule: Must be available to work an 8-hour shift during the pharmacy hours of operation (with a 30-min lunch break.) Saturday schedule will be rotational.
About You:
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
- Cashiering experience using POS software
- Prior retail pharmacy experience a plus; experience with shipping and packaging a plus
- Strong and effective communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of MS Suite including Word, spreadsheet software; inventory software; internet software; order processing systems
- Strong typing and data entry skills
- Able to lift and carry light to medium-weight packages
- Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy, fast-paced work environment
- Be pro-active in identifying and analyzing problems and provide solutions

Pay range: $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, based on credentials and geographic location
