Avante Care Management is Hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist Near East Aurora, NY
We are seeking to hire a talented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The Accounts Payable Specialist works with our Long Term Health Care facilities in a friendly and team player office setting. This is the opportunity you've been looking for.
Responsibilities for Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Responsible to know, understand and enforce all Accounts Payable Procedures.
- Codes and enters invoices accurately and timely in accordance with Company and Department policies.
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements and resolves vendor and facility questions regarding paid and unpaid invoices.
- Reconciles monthly credit card activity and process credit card check runs.
- Vouchers cash requirements report to the open invoice file to verify invoices to be processed for payment.
- Set up new vendors and input withholding information.
- Disburse checks to vendors.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors.
- Work with accounting department to ensure correct coding and validate recurring charges are properly received and processed.
- Contributes to the organization in a professional manner with a positive attitude.
- Cooperates with co-workers, communicates, and expresses positive ideas, suggestions, or solutions as often as possible.
Qualifications for Accounts Payable Specialist
- High school diploma, Associate's Degree in Accounting preferred.
- 2-3 years experience with accounts payable or general accounting
- Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
- Sage Intacct experience helpful
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- High degree of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong analytic abilities
