Goldberg Segalla, a dynamic and collaborative law firm with a national presence, seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join its team as an Accounts Payable (AP) Invoice Specialist in its Buffalo, NY office. Responsible for reviewing and processing client billable vendor invoices, by ensuring invoices comply with client and firm guidelines. RESPONSIBILITIES:: :
Audit and analyze all client billable vendor invoices in a timely manner. This includes reviewing invoices to ensure appropriate information is given and that clients billing guidelines are being followed
Evaluate, interpret and apply protocols related to vendor invoices as outlined in client’s billing guidelines
Responsible for submitting vendor invoices internally for payment or directly to clients
Investigate issues on pending vendor invoices that may not comply with client’s billing guidelines and make recommendations for resolution
Understand the use of client ebilling systems with respect to vendor invoices
Maintain documentation and record activity related to vendor invoices received
Assist other team members and the department with work as needed or directed
Educate and assist internal staff on Accounting and firm policies and procedures when necessary
Remain up to date on the department’s policies and procedures by regularly reviewing documentation and notices
Daily written or verbal communication with clients regarding vendor invoices
Daily professional communication with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants and other administrative staff throughout the firm
Regular communication with the Accounts Payable Supervisor regarding workflow, issues, suggestions or departmental procedures and policies
Knowledge of Aderant and LawBase programs
EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
Strong analytical and communication skills
Experience with electronic billing systems
Knowledge of claims and legal process required
Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills
Ability to handle changing criteria, multiple projects, tight deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Motivated, detail-oriented team player with positive attitude
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Excel experience is required
Benefits:: This role offers an hourly salary. The hourly salary range for this position is $19 - $25. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law. This position also offers a full benefits package.
