This is with a domestic dealership and a state-of-the-art facility with tons of room for growth as the dealer just expanded their Service Department! The successful candidate is a tried and true Service Manager with domestic experience and will have a proven track record of growing service departments. This is with a family-owned dealer group that has a positive reputation and many long-term employees. The Service Manager hired will report directly to the Dealer Principal. The Service Department is in good shape with a solid team in place but needs a driver who can get them to the next level and has a vision for growth. Likewise, there are plenty of new bays to bring on additional technicians to increase production as the dealer has the demand and demographic to put out more work from their department. It is important that the Service Manager hired knows how to recruit and retain talent, and is someone who is great at training, coaching, and developing their staff - including getting techs certified and bringing up lube technicians to the next level. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department
• Create and implement processes to increase efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability in the service department.
• Set a clear vision for the Service Department to achieve targeted performance goals.
• Hold daily and weekly meetings for the department, as well as 1:1s with individual team members.
• Ensure the department has green CSI through building and maintaining relationships with customers and ensuring that they receive high-quality service.
• Oversee the Service Advisors and ensure that ROs are written up and closed out in a timely manner.
• Manage and supervise the service technicians, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards and within established timelines.
• Provide training to service technicians to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
• Recruit, interview and train service staff; handle performance reviews
• Create an exceptional customer experience to drive customer loyalty
• Develop and manage budgets and operating plans for the service department, monitoring performance and making adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a high level of knowledge about the latest automotive technologies and stay current on industry trends.
• Collaborate with other departments within the dealership to ensure seamless and efficient operations.
• Monitor/control all warranty activity to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Ensure the Service area is customer-customer ready with proper displays and information
• Other duties as required

Compensation:

• Compensation will be in the $150,000 - $180,000 range with true room for growth. The goal is that the Service Director hired will grow their department to earn over $200,000 as the department grows.
