Experienced automotive Controller needed for growing new car dealership north of Los Angeles, CA! The Automotive Controller will be responsible to manage the financial activities of the dealership and ensure that financial goals are met. This person will be responsible to close out the month, maintain accurate financial records, analyze financial data, prepare financial reports, and provide financial guidance to management.

Moreover, it is important that Controller hired is a great leader to their accounting staff and is strong at communicating, delegating, training, and holding their team accountable. The position will report directly to the Dealer Principal and will work closely with the dealership's General Manager on a day-to-day business. Experience on CDK is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the financial activities of the dealership
• Prepare and submit the monthly financial statement
• Develop and maintain accurate financial records
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management
• Prepare financial reports and present them to management
• Provide financial guidance to management and assist in decision-making
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
• Oversee and implement financial policies and procedures
• Manage the accounting team and provide leadership, guidance, and training
• Review and approve financial transactions
• Maintain effective communication with management and other departments
• Maintain regular communication with the Dealer Principal on the standings of the dealership, cost saving measures, and any issues that may require their attention

Compensation:

• Compensation in the 150k-180k range based on experience and track record.

Relocation Candidates:

• Serious relocation candidates will be considered for this role. Must have experience as an Automotive Controller within a new car dealership within the United States.
