Atwater Bistro Management Group is a small business in Detroit, MI that provides bar management services for several businesses in midtown and downtown. Additionally we provide servies for mobile events. Our goal is to provide excellent service to both our clients who book our services and the customers for whom we make drinks!
Duties:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders and process payments through cash register or POS system
- Maintain cleanliness of bar area and equipment
- Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service
- Provide recommendations on drink selection based on customer preferences
- Prepare garnishes and stock bar with necessary supplies
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures
- Handle customer complaints or concerns in a timely and efficient manner
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a bartender or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of retail math and basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Strong hospitality skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service
- Time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in operating cash registers or POS systems, such as Square or similar
- TIPS certification required
- Ability to handle and serve alcohol responsibly, adhering to legal drinking age requirements
- Knowledge of brewing techniques and familiarity with different types of alcoholic beverages
- Understanding of food handling regulations and safety protocol
