Position Overview
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting and obtaining new customers, building relationships and retaining existing ones.
The Outside Sales Representative will work independently within their territory and collaboratively with the sales team. This position develops and executes selling strategies that ensure revenue growth to meet and exceed sales goals by acquiring new customers. Additionally, the role is responsible for managing existing customer relationships through proactive retention strategies.

Compensation and Work Environment
Outside Sales Representatives will receive a base salary of $50,000 per year plus commission on sales.
On-target earnings will be $70,000 - $100,000 per year.
Outside Sales Representative will use their personal vehicle for travel and will receive mileage reimbursement.
A valid driver’s license and a reliable form of transportation are required.
A company laptop and phone or phone allowance will be provided.
Outside Sale Reps will spend 70% of their work week in the assigned territory prospecting for new clients.

Qualifications
Prior outside sales experience is a must.
Waste industry experience is a plus.
Ability to negotiate and close sales.
Ability to problem-solve.
Ability to work well on a team and individually.
Proficient use of computers, Microsoft Office suite, and sales tools.
Excellent communication and listening skills.
College degree preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
Solicit new customers in the assigned sales territory. Offer quotes and/or bids as necessary within the scope and pricing perimeters established by the company.
Meet regularly with existing customers to reinforce positive relations and maintain acceptable service standards.
Execute cold calls to influence potential commercial & construction customers into setting appointments with the purpose of presenting and selling Atlas Disposal services.
Acquire and maintain current market, industry, and company knowledge.
Utilize the company’s CRM tool daily.
Practice critical thinking and develop solutions for customer issues.
Other duties may be assigned.
