We are looking for a talented and competitive Sales Development Rep (sometimes referred to as an Inside Sales Representative) that thrives in a fast-paced sales environment selling a breadth of IT services, including managed services, security services and software, both custom and product sales.
The Sales Development Rep’s Role
The focus of this job is making connections with people, motivating and inspiring them to achieve results. Poise and an engaging, empathetic communication style based on natural warmth and enthusiasm is the key to achieving the goals of this job. The work involves driving toward results by enrolling the commitment and buy-in of others. While the job requires strong initiative and self-direction, results are only achieved with and through people. A sincere appreciation for people and how they are each uniquely motivated is the foundation for designing and implementing interactive communication and decision-making processes. The job requires a high degree of “selling” ideas, products and services in the marketplace. The job environment is fast paced and results oriented. A self-confident, extroverted style that can enliven, engage and positively impact individuals and groups is essential.
Key Responsibilities
The Sales Development Rep will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. The successful candidate must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with channel partners, generating interest, and teeing up qualified prospects for the Account Executive to close.
  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements
  • Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline of opportunities
  • Perform effective online demos to prospects
Key Requirements
  • A hunter-style sales approach.
  • Proven inside sales experience
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools
  • Experience working with CRM software
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent
This is an exciting opportunity for a talented, driven, hands-on sales professional. Compensation is a combination of base plus incentive, commensurate with experience and includes a competitive benefits package.
