Research Development:

• Work with PIs/Faculty to design and develop individual experiments including protocols for sample preparation and analysis based on individual needs.
• Develop unique techniques and methods based on individual needs of PIs. 
• Train PIs/faculty on preparing experiment design and preparing samples for mass spec/.
• Run individual experiments based on designed experiments and developed protocols.
• Perform MS analysis, immunoblots, PCR and other assays and data analysis utilizing our specialized computers and proteomics software.
• Assist in preparation of NIH grant proposals based on designed experiments, protocols, and anaylsis of samples. 

Proteomics Laboratory Operations: 

• Operations and Maintenance of complex research instruments such as the two Mass Specs and additional lab equipment including installation of various complex components that make up the mass spec and formulate creative and innovative solutions to complex instrument issues.
• Scheduling mass spec usage and sample preparation.
• Inventory and Asset management.
• Ordering supplies and equipment.
• Tracking usage and experiments.
• Assisting with invoicing based and sample size and usage.

Data Management and Analysis: 

• Contribute to the generation and documentation of MS data for publication.
• Analyze data and assist in preparation of manuscripts and grants.
• Immunoblot analysis of muscle biopsy lysates.
• Interact with and present data to the principal investigator on a weekly basis or as needed

Faculty PI Relations:

• Meet with Faculty/ PIs to assess needs, equipments.
• Communicate with faculty on results, data, publications, and grant submissions 
• Promote proteomics lab to new faculty/PIs
