Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Provide routine maintenance (as detailed below) and repair of nursing facility and equipment. Provides lawn care, landscaping and snow removal on the grounds. Will also be the designated Fire Safety duties such as inspecting fire extinguishers, run and test fire pumps. respond to fire alarms and coordinate fire drills with Engineering Supervisor.

• Paints, patches, wallpapers and does other repairs to facility walls, ceilings and floors.
• Maintains all plumbing, piping and fixtures.
• Maintains and repairs exterior of the building including sidewalks and build structures.
• Maintains all convectors in the facility
• Repairs electrical systems such as; Light ballasts, bulbs, switches, receptacles and other devices.
• Assists Maintenance Supervisor with HVAC systems, takes readings on systems as necessary.
• Assists Maintenance Supervisor with the installation of new equipment.
• Inspection of Safety Equipment including all fire safety related items such as: Fire Extinguishers and Fire pumps
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by management

Job Type: Full- Time

Salary: $25.06/hr

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Experience: at least 2 years’ experience
• License, Registration, and / or Certification Requirement (must possess certificate of fitness (G46) issued by FDNY (NYC Fire Department), HVAC, Plumbing
• Must possess excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Experience Requirements of two years in the following areas; plumbing, electrical, painting, masonry and carpentry

Education:

• Trade School or work experience of two years in the following areas is preferred; plumbing, electrical, painting, masonry, and carpentry
• High School Diploma or equivalent
