What the day will look like:
Claims Specialists at Aon primarily review and service claims in accordance with plan provisions. They examine claim submissions and documentation to confirm coverage and assess claims and compare data and certificates of insurance to ascertain completeness and validity of claims. Additional daily activities include:
- Review and analysis of detailed medical records, itineraries and other documentation.
- Proactive work to resolve claims as expeditiously as possible; decisions are made based on authority levels, policies and documented procedures.
- Updating reserves and thoroughly inputting the necessary details in the claims system.
- Communicate effectively with customer. Prepare correspondence.
Skills that lead to success:
- Claims adjudication experience.
- Excellent writing skills, specifically clear, concise and accurately constructed correspondence.
- Verbal communication in a professional manner and able to bring insureds' concerns to closure.
- Detail oriented with an ability to manage time effectively; as hourly production is measured accordingly.
- Sustain productivity and quality targets
Experience:
Three or more years of claims adjudication experience. Candidate should hold General Adjustor license for home state, or obtain for this role. Ability to obtain additional licenses within 4 months of start date.
Education: College preferred or equivalent work experience.

The salary range for this position is $42,000 to $53,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
