We seek to expand our finance team with an Accounts Payable Specialist to support our continued growth and success. See job qualifications and responsibilities below!
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in building, streamlining and improving the accounts payable process
- Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
- Perform invoice and general ledger data entry
- Execute credit card reconciliations
- Review purchase orders when necessary
- Assist finance with cash forecasting, AP reconciliation and other AP related inquiries
- Commercial banking and financial acumen
- Assist with month-end closing and audit support as necessary
- Perform journal entries and maintain accurate financial records
- Responsible for timely payment of vendor invoices, utility invoices, miscellaneous payment requests
- Research all vendor inquiries/questions regarding invoice and payment status
- Maintain vendor files and records
Required Qualifications:
- College degree preferred
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
- Superb time management skills, organization, and detail orientation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information
- Strong mathematical skills
- 5 years experience in accounts payable
- 5 years experience with accounting software and online platforms
- Experience in retail and/or ecommerce is a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Google Mail, financial software, and banking portals
Compensation
Salary $50-55k DOE
