About The Role:
Position: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Location: Americare Therapeutic Center Inc.
Supervision: Directed by the Program Director or CEO
Function:
- Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations and manage medication for adults and youths.
- Collaborate with ATC’s Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program and office administration to coordinate care, scheduling, and caseloads.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver mental health services including diagnosis, treatment, and consultations.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care.
- Conduct patient assessments, crisis interventions, and make necessary referrals.
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications as required.
- Ensure compliance with Standards of Care and Regulatory Requirements.
Qualifications:
- Master of Nursing degree and current Nurse Practitioner license in Maryland.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a psychiatric setting.
- Proficiency in DSM diagnosis and various treatment/pharmacological interventions.
