About The Role:

Position: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Location: Americare Therapeutic Center Inc.

Supervision: Directed by the Program Director or CEO

Function:

  • Conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations and manage medication for adults and youths.
  • Collaborate with ATC’s Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program and office administration to coordinate care, scheduling, and caseloads.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver mental health services including diagnosis, treatment, and consultations.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care.
  • Conduct patient assessments, crisis interventions, and make necessary referrals.
  • Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Standards of Care and Regulatory Requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Master of Nursing degree and current Nurse Practitioner license in Maryland.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a psychiatric setting.
  • Proficiency in DSM diagnosis and various treatment/pharmacological interventions.
