Omnis Health Life is Hiring a Nurse Practitioner (Mental Health) (PMHNP) Near Baltimore, MD

Outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and mental health specialty care center is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. PMHNP's partner with counselors and therapists to support clients during their mental health journey. PMHNP's will create the medication plan while the counselors and therapists assist in providing the highest level of care.

Nurse is only required to work two days a week (16 hours). Days are negotiable. Contracted rate is negotiable. Day-time shift only. There are no evenings or weekends.

Required Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Empathetic & intuitive listener
  • Rapport building on a virtual platform
  • PMHNP Licensed in any of the 50 states or D.C.
  • Board certification (AANP or ANCC)
  • Computer literate and comfortable learning multiple software systems
  • Comfortable prescribing for anxiety, depression, insomnia, bi-polar 2, and ADHD.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis (We are not able to sponsor work visas at this time.

Duties:

  • Providing outpatient psychiatric services within the individual's scope of practice.
  • Assessing patients and evaluating their care needs.
  • Forming a plan of care including prescribing and administering appropriate medications, providing individual and family counseling, providing referrals to other disciplines, and acting as liaison for patients with other health care providers, guardians, and their families.
  • Collaborating with the managing physician in the evaluation of patients.
  • Documenting and maintaining patient's clinical records. Providing direct psychiatric care to clients.
  • Providing psychiatric consultation services, both within and external clients via growing telehealth service.
  • Providing psychiatric care that is consistent with all policies including recovery and suicide prevention.
  • Providing timely treatment planning and consultation with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Educating staff by direct supervision, didactic, or other teaching methods.
  • Participating in peer review, committees, and other quality management duties.
