The Project Management position provides support to the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) located in Patuxent River, MD. This position directly supports Command level senior military, government and flag/staff office personnel and is responsible for the performance, oversight or coordination of task/work products necessary to ensure success. Working closely with the Command Operations Group executive level, this position is integral to the overall fluidity and smooth day to day operation of a major acquisition Command.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Provide direct support to NAVAIR senior leadership and staff office.
• Interface, guide and direct CSS team as required.
• Collaborate with government representatives regarding the technical aspects of the assigned work, projects and support requirements.
• Provide multidisciplinary support to senior government leaders overseeing the business operations of a large government organization.
• Assist with the fluid operations of executive-level meetings including preparation, facilitation, meeting documentation, and action item follow-up.
• Daily communications with all touch points (staff office POCs, IT representatives, briefer(s), and customers), ensure connectivity status checks and prioritization of conference requirements.
• Manage schedule, material, agenda items, and the numerous facets of Command Leadership Team (CLT) meeting as directed by NAVAIR Executive Assistant or appropriate point of contact.
• Track and monitor actions across various initiatives and projects.
• Interfaces with system or program contractors, vendors, and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of the programs/projects.
• May serve as a point of contact for the client or customer.

• BS or BA degree in Business Administration or other "Relevant Managerial Discipline". An AS or AA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a BA/BS or an additional eight (8) years of experience may be substituted for a BA / BS.
• Active Secret Security Clearance (Interim or Full) prior to the start of employment.
• Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Familiarity and experience working in the Naval Air Systems Command environment
• Flexibility to support client outside of normal working hours on-site or remotely
• Advanced knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• IT proficient
• At least 5 years’ experience, with at least 2 years of supervisory/lead experience required
• Experience performing complex evaluations of existing procedures, processes, communication techniques, models, and/or systems related to management problems for a Chief of Staff for a major Legislative or Department of Defense (DoD) Echelon Command / Secretariat;
• Demonstrated knowledge of SECNAV, OPNAV and OSD policy and documentation related to management, operations and life-cycle management of military acquisition programs.
