IT Project Manager

Digital Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (DESI) is seeking an IT Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is a Full Time (Regular) Exempt (Salary) position located in Patuxent River, Maryland 20670. This is a hybrid position requiring 1-2 days per week at the customer site in Patxuent River, MD 20670 (St. Mary's County, MD), therefore only seeking candidates within ~2-hour one-way drive of this location.

ROLES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead, manage, and provide technical guidance for the digital application development component of a Data Analytics Team.
• Develop, monitor and track project plans for multiple complex data analysis and development projects.
• Gather, analyze, breakdown, and document customer needs and requirements.
• Create and present briefs, whitepapers and project schedules to customer leadership.
• Plan and facilitate sprint planning meetings, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Identify, track, and mitigate/resolve project risks/issues.
• Measure, monitor, and report on the project performance.
• Mentor, train, and guide technical team members.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the education and experience listed below:

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• BS/BA degree and three (3) years related experience -OR- AA/AS degree and seven (7) years related experience -OR- HS and ten (10) years related experience.
• Degree(s) in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar is preferred.
• College degrees must be from a US accredited institution to be considered towards years of experience in meeting education requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

• Three (3) years’ experience as an IT project manager, IT technical lead, or senior-level IT technical resource.
• Experience creating, coordinating, and tracking detailed complex project schedules and tasking.
• Experience with agile development environments.
• Experience working with a PM/CM tool like GitLab (preferred) or TFS.
• Must be a team player and able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to perform multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• US Citizenship is required due to US government contract requirement.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance (interim required to start).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with experience or knowledge in these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:

• Experience as a scrum master.
• Experience with data analytics.
• PMP or Scrum Master certification(s).
• Active SECRET clearance.
