Responsibilities
Primary Objective: The AR/AP Manager, USA will be responsible for planning, directing, supervising, and monitoring the systems, processes, and activities of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable departments to increase cash flow, manage credit risk and working capital, ensure smooth transaction processing, optimize employee productivity, and contribute to the maximization of the profitability and cash flows of the ALS USA Group. In addition, this role is responsible for the functional coordination of system implementations and process improvements across these key transaction cycles, including the Oracle Cloud Enterprise Application (comprising the ERP, EPM, and HCM modules).
Position Duties and Scope:
- Manage the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) teams, currently comprised of five and four team members, respectively, while leading various management initiatives and systems implementation projects;
- Plan, evaluate, implement and continuously improve all aspects of revenue processing, collections, AP workflows, and disbursement functions and processes;
- Formulate, monitor and achieve specific collection, AP processing, and staff utilization objectives;
- Ensure professional relationships are established and maintained with clients, suppliers/vendors, and internal stakeholders;
- Direct interaction with selected clients and suppliers in resolving delinquencies/ delays;
- Participate in the approval, establishment and maintenance of credit terms and limits for all new and current client accounts, as well as payment terms with suppliers;
- Work with clients and internal stakeholders to regulate and resolve hold/release work-orders, as well as with suppliers to avoid service interruptions;
- Compile and interpret data in conjunction with performance accountability reports;
- Manage information requests during external, internal, and tax audits;
- Coordinate the implementation of the Oracle Cloud Enterprise Application across the Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay transaction cycles, including training, change-management documentation, testing, data validation, and issue resolution;
- Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;
- implementation of all accounts payable process and controls required by the group, including but not limited to full application of authorization matrix and segregation of duties
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in accounting, finance, business administration or closely related field. Certified Public Accountant/ Chartered Accountant and/or Certified Credit Professional designations are an asset;
- Minimum of five years of experience in accounting, finance, accounts receivable, accounts payable, business administration, and other related areas, of which a minimum of two years must be in a management role;
- Minimum of five years of experience with ERP systems and Microsoft (MS) Office, particularly MS Excel; Tier 1 ERP experience is an asset.

Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Follow all company operating procedures, standards, policies, and training to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the site.
- Play an active role in the ALS safety program by correcting or reporting unsafe acts and conditions that are observed during day to day operations to create a zero-injury work environment.
- Participate in and support HSE initiatives, as required by ALS leadership.
- Understand and use HSE precautions (such as but not limited to fume hoods and PPE) while working with chemicals and samples of unknown hazard.

Other Requirements:
- Ability to sit for up to 8 hours per day, work in a standard office setting, and use standard office equipment, including a computer and a telephone;
