Allied Dental is Hiring an Accounting Manager Near Toms River, NJ
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end close, which would include posting all revenue, COS and completing account reconciliations
- Ensure accounts payable invoices are posted with proper coding and paid on time
- Review/Prepare monthly reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts and certain P&L accounts
- Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
- Prepare/review Audit schedules as assigned and conduct audit research as needed
- Prepare monthly closing entries (Prepaid, Fixed Assets, Accruals, Depreciation, Amortization, etc.) with appropriate backup and approve credit card entries, etc., with proper supporting documents.
- Train/Provide mentorship to the accounting team and participate in the hiring process
- Collaborate with the Financial Controller on monthly variance analyses
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Ensure Financial Systems & procedures are in place to provide adequate internal controls.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
- Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis
Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Must be able to reconcile accounts and be able to perform GL analysis
- Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is preferred
- Previous experience with Consolidations and Intercompany eliminations preferred
- Advanced Excel skills required (Vlookup, Sumifs, Sumif, Pivot table, etc.)
- Payroll processing experience is required. Experience with ADP is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting a plus
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least two years of experience managing a team
- Strong quantitative, problem-solving, and communications skills are required
- Ability to set priorities, multi-task, meet critical deadlines, and pay attention to detail
- Highly Organized and motivated self-starter with good interpersonal communication skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.
