Job description
Olde and New World is an expanding importer and distributor with operations in multiple states that has a growing portfolio focused on European and South American brands. We are looking for a sales representative who will be responsible for servicing existing customers as well as developing new customers in the Hartford to Eastern Connecticut area. This is a full-time, salary and commission-based position with an expense budget and health benefits after six months of employment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining and building strong relationships with our established customers
- Identify and develop new customers
- Provide educational wine tastings/training to accounts when necessary
- Commitment to your personal growth through the acquisition of product and general industry knowledge and connections
- Regular service calls on each account
- Rapport-building with decision-makers and providing excellent customer service
Qualifications:
- Wine industry sales experience a plus
- Must be flexible and able to easily adapt to changes
- Positive attitude and a passion for the wine industry
- Strong organizational and territory management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated and works well independently and on a team
- Ability to build productive partnerships and collaborate with decision makers
- General computer knowledge with a focus on Word, Excel, and Outlook required
Position Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry a 40lb wine case
- Ability to transport samples to appointments
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
