Job Overview
AEVEX Aerospace is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems and components. This key player will combine technical expertise, leadership, and problem-solving skills to design, implement, and maintain electrical systems in various domains.
Essential Functions
•Design, develop, and test embedded electrical systems for aerospace applications.
•Proficient in circuit design with knowledge of embedded microcontrollers, video image processing, battery technology, motor controllers, and power distribution.
•Selection of components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability and determines design approaches and parameters.
•Works with avionics, embedded systems, and Radio Frequency (RF) links. Supports Flight Test operations, as needed.
•Develop and maintain electrical control systems, including wiring diagrams and schematics.
•Analyze and interpret technical data, such as specifications, blueprints, and schematics, to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
•Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and clients to identify and resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
•Plan and oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
•Troubleshoot electrical problems and provide technical support to production staff as needed.
•Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure product reliability and performance.
•Stay current with new technologies, trends, and best practices in electrical engineering.
•Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies
•Knowledge of common industry protocols (LVDS, I2C, HDMI, UART, SPI, CAN, USB, MIPI)
•Familiarity with battery-powered UAVs
•Knowledge of electrical design software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations, including NEC, UL, and CE
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education / Certifications
•Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
•Professional certification, such as Professional Engineer (PE), is preferred but not required.
Experience
•9-12 years of relevant work experience
Security Clearance
•Ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
