In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a diverse and innovative team to lead and design power systems at power-generating facilities.

Responsibilities

Due to continued growth, our Energy Group is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineerfor our Tampa, FL, Lake Mary, FL, Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Kennesaw GA, Chattanooga TN, FT Worth TX locations.

Responsibilities (including but are not limited to)

• Understand roles played by other disciplines on the project and is able to coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings, and data prepared by other engineers or subcontractors.
• Prepare design studies and project scopes.
• Make recommendations based on knowledge and experience.
• Direct and oversee routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintains quality standards of all assigned projects.
• Manage budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversight.
• Prepare electrical equipment procurement and installation specifications and can evaluate technical bids and select equipment.
• Devise new approaches to technical problems. Broad knowledge of precedents in the industry.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications / skills

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university and Minimum 10 years of power system design experience.
• SKM and/or ETAP experience
• Protection and controls experience
• Experience in electrical codes, standards, and criteria for power systems.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Good writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Willing to travel (up to 20%) and participate in field installation, checkout, and start-up. Including:
• The ability to traverse stairs and ladders at client sites.
• The ability to traverse client sites to conduct walkdowns.
• The ability to work outside at client sites in all weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

• Experience with lighting studies, lightning protection, and grounding design.
