Essential Functions: - Design, develop, and test embedded electrical systems for aerospace applications
- Proficient in circuit design with knowledge of embedded microcontrollers, video image processing, battery technology, motor controllers, and power distribution.
- Selection of components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability and determines design approaches and parameters
- Works with avionics, embedded systems, and Radio Frequency (RF) links. Supports Flight Test operations, as needed
- Develop and maintain electrical control systems, including wiring diagrams and schematics
- Analyze and interpret technical data, such as specifications, blueprints, and schematics, to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations
- Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and clients to identify and resolve technical issues and improve system performance
- Plan and oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and provide technical support to production staff as needed
- Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure product reliability and performance
- Stay current with new technologies, trends, and best practices in electrical engineering
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of common industry protocols (LVDS, I2C, HDMI, UART, SPI, CAN, USB, MIPI)
- Familiarity with battery-powered UAVs
- 3-6 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of electrical design software, such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations, including NEC, UL, and CE
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional certification, such as Professional Engineer (PE), is preferred but not required
- Ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required
