Adventist Health NW is Hiring a Sr. Administrative Assistant - FT (On Site) Near Portland, OR

Adventist Health Portland, part of both the Adventist Health and Oregon Health and Science University health systems features of a 302-bed medical center, 34 medical clinics, and home care and hospice services in the Portland metro area. Our full-service acute care medical center provides a full range of inpatient, outpatient, emergency and diagnostic services to communities on the city's east side. Key services include cardiovascular care, emergency services, orthopedics, radiation oncology, surgery, imaging, rehabilitation, and labor and delivery. Adventist Health Portland's mission executed by more than 550 physicians, 1,900 employees and 250 volunteers serving a local community known for its outdoor activities, independent creatives and exquisite culinary opportunities.

Job Summary:

Oversees a broad range of administrative and clerical duties in support of department operations. Directs workflow. Ensures a consistent and professional appearance in all communications in written and verbal form. Provides administrative support to special projects. Assists in making recommendations to management on process improvement, new processes, tools and techniques. Works with sensitive and confidential information, often involving the interpretation of policies and procedures. Assists with orienting and providing on-the-job skills training to others.

This position is On Site M-F at the hospital. This is not a remote opportunity.

This role supports Quality, Risk, Regulatory, Clinical Education, CIS, Lucidoc coordinator, and Infection Prevention.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

* High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred

* Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

* Two years' administrative and clerical experience in a healthcare setting: Required

* Proficiency in Microsoft programs

Essential Functions:

* Oversees clerical and administrative activities for leadership in respected areas such as processing correspondence, answering the telephone, scheduling meetings/appointments, making travel arrangements and maintaining employee department files.

* Creates documents and assists with special projects. Prepares all departmental memos, agendas, minutes and reports. Copies, distributes and files reports/memos/records as requested.

* Coordinates departmental/program functions with other hospital departments. Coordinates arrangements for meetings including notification, preparing material, reserving room and equipment as needed.

* Performs special projects/events (i.e., conferences, in-services and presentations). Prepares all departmental memos, agendas, minutes and reports.

* Organizes and maintains systematic records and reports. Assists with ordering supplies and maintaining inventory of all supplies, as needed. Ascertains files are current, accurate and complete.

* Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
