Job Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, verifying appropriate approvals and coding.
- Maintain vendor files and ensure all necessary documentation is collected and maintained.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare and process weekly, monthly, and quarterly payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and accruals.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper coding and approval of invoices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records and reports.
- Assist with audits and provide support for internal and external auditors as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development of best practices within the accounts payable function.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
