Actalent is Hiring a HR Manager Near New York, NY

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team. As an HR Manager, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our employees and management team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR administration, with a focus on payroll, benefits, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll and ensure accurate and timely payment to employees
  • Administer COBRA and FMLA programs, including notification, certification, and return-to-work processes
  • Manage employee benefits enrollment, including medical, dental, vision, and other benefits
  • Develop and maintain employee benefits materials, including summary plan descriptions and benefits booklets
  • Create and maintain accurate records of employee leave (PTO, sick leave, jury duty)
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Maintain knowledge of HR laws and regulations, including FMLA, PFL, DBL, and other related laws
  • Collaborate with management team to resolve employee relations issues and provide guidance on HR-related matters
  • Provide training and support to employees on HR-related policies and procedures
  • Analyze and report on HR metrics and trends to inform business decisions

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Strong understanding of HR laws and regulations, including FMLA, PFL, DBL, COBRA, and other related laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in the architecture or construction/engineering industry is highly desirable
