Job Title General Manager Education High School or GED Career Level Manager Category Aviation Job Type/ FLSA Status Salaried Exempt Travel Required None Shift Type Job Description The General Manager is the senior ABM Parking Services employee at the Airport and reports directly to the executive committee of ABM Aviation. The General Manager is the primary liaison with LAWA and is responsible for the proper management, operation, maintenance, development, and promotion of the Los Angeles International Airports public parking operations as defined by the terms of the contract agreement between LAWA and ABM Aviation Inc., and for the supervision of all related personnel, planning, and logistics support.
The General Managers specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Management of day-to-day operations to ensure proper control of the parking operations, including scheduling and overall supervision of personnel.
* Oversight of the personnel function, including hiring, promotion, disciplinary actions (including dismissal), and implementation of pay adjustments and promotions of facility personnel, as appropriate.
* Coordination of the budget process and the programming tools necessary to monitor and maintain cost control.
* Leadership in resolving operational, management and guest service problems.
* Direct response to requests for action from LAWA.
* Overseeing the preparation of operating reports (weekly reports, monthly statements and reconciliations, and annual reports) to ensure timely submittal to LAWA.
* Establishing, maintaining, and monitoring guest service principles and hospitality standards to ensure quality public relations.
* Conceptualizing, developing, and implementing programs to foster staff development and employee training, improve guest relations, and enhance motivation and dedication.

Minimum Requirements
* BA degree preferred or equivalent experience.
* 5 years of customer focused experience
* 5 years of management
* 3 years of budgeting and expense control and scheduling
* Proven ability to manage groups of 10-50.
* Leadership personality, client facing.
* Ability to work flexible hours to monitor and manage various shifts.
* Excellent communication
* Drivers license
