We are seeking a highly motivated, kind, loving, warm, energetic and fun assistant teacher to join our team at our charming daycare in Carroll Gardens.

As part of a team, you will work in partnership with our other staff but exercise your own ability to lead and work as an individual. You will also:

• Be patient, nurturing, and compassionate.
• Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff members.
• Be empathetic, encouraging, and compassionate to children's emotions and parental needs.
• Implement lesson plans that meet the needs of each student.
• Provide individual and group instruction to students.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, and progress.
• Present expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level.
• Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
• Build teamwork.
• Conduct and write up simple observations.
• Work as a team player, and collaborate.
• You will be needed for full-time and/or part-time hours, Monday-Friday, between 8am-6pm.

Requirements:

• Experience in daycare, babysitting or nannying.
• Able to work Monday through Friday 8am-6pm
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment

Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• After school
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Required)
• Child Development Associate Certification (Required)
