Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals with autism or other behavioral disorders. Your primary responsibility will be to implement behavior plans and interventions under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior plans developed by the BCBA
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism or other behavioral disorders
- Collect data on client progress and behavior
- Assist with the development and implementation of behavior intervention strategies
- Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to ensure effective treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation
- Follow all HIPAA guidelines to ensure client confidentiality
- Provide crisis intervention when necessary
- Administer medication as directed by medical professionals
Requirements:
-High school Diploma
- Valid Drivers license with 5 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, special education, or related field preferred
- Experience working with children or individuals with autism or other behavioral disorders
- Knowledge of behavior analysis principles and techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think quickly on your feet
- Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
- Willingness to learn and implement new strategies and techniques
- Ability to pass background checks and meet all state licensing requirements
