AMIkids is Hiring a Senior Director of Behavioral Health Near Tampa, FL

Position Summary
The Senior Director of Behavioral Health role is to direct and implement evidenced-based treatment and case management policies, objectives, and initiatives for AMIkids. Ensure integrity and fidelity of behavioral health service delivery for the organization.

Essential Job Functions

  • Oversee the coordination and implementation of mental health and substance abuse treatment services as well as case management and transition services to ensure fidelity, uniformity, and consistency in implementation of trauma responsive and evidence-informed service delivery practices,
  • Formulate and direct behavioral health policy and procedures utilizing national accrediting standards of excellence for service delivery as well as local, state, and federal regulations and requirements,
  • Oversee behavioral health grant service delivery and coordinate efforts with internal and external parties to ensure outcomes are met on assigned federal, state, and local grants,
  • Utilize national, state, local, and AMIkids data and research trends to continuously improve and impact behavioral health service delivery outputs, outcomes, and growth,
  • Develop and direct the implementation of processes and tools to ensure quality in behavioral health service delivery,
  • Prepare reports and present data to support and contribute to behavioral health improvement and growth initiatives,
  • Monitor the quality of work produced by the behavioral health department, lead team and provide continued development,
  • Provide subject matter expert input on behavioral health for procurement and grant proposals,
  • Maintain expertise, aligned with current trends and research informed practices as well as national and state standards and regulations, in behavioral health service delivery and billing practices,
  • Develop and facilitate evidence-based training related to behavioral health, in alignment with national research trends and the organization’s goals,
  • Develop department budget and allocation of resources,
  • May drive for other work-related tasks,
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, or closely related field,
  • Independent state licensure to practice in the field of counseling or related field required; multi-state preferred,
  • Five (5) years of professional human services experience,
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
  • Experience in developing and preparing analytical reports,
  • Ability to think critically, analytically, and independently,
  • Ability to work quickly and effectively within multiple software platforms,
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills,
  • Ability to travel 25% of time.
