• The Accounting Clerk may be assigned to various positions throughout the accounting office which may change from time to time:
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable
  • Income Audit
• AR - Initiate group billing accounts, files, and advance deposit invoices.
• AR - Attend pre-conference and conference review meetings
• AR - Compile group bills and review all folios and tickets for accurate billing.
• AR - Follow-up both verbally and in writing, on all past-due accounts to insure the timely collection of accounts receivable.
• AR - Review all past due accounts to determine collectability of accounts. Recommend action to be taken on uncollectible accounts.
• AR - Deal with customer inquiries courteously, efficiently, and promptly.
• AR - Responsible for proper follow-up of accounts and billing.
• AP – Scan and Code vendor invoices as received from operations.
• AP – Ensure conformance with purchasing and documentation standards.
• AP – Review vendor statements and communicate to operations and/or vendors regarding missing items or corrections.
• AP – Coordinate creation of weekly check run.
• AP – Assist in the month end closing process by coordinating Expense Accruals.
• Complete all necessary month-end reports and reconcile the general ledger account to the aged trial balance.
• Assist in transaction research for CC chargebacks or returned checks.
• Assist Accounting Manager and/or Controller in preparation of Taxes and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of accounts receivable forms and supplies.
• Perform all activities in a professional manner and in accordance with company policy.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent, College degree in accounting or equivalent business experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of computerized front office system.
• PC knowledge and experience with Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel Spreadsheet.
• Detail oriented.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to perform various clerical and accounting duties.
