ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Plans and coordinates Resort guests and Resort Pass guest.
• Greets incoming guests.
• Takes reservations in person and over the phone, using professional language at all times.
• Responsible for walking guests to the cabana.
• Pick up used towels around the pool.
• Bring the towel bin to the laundry when full.
• Fold and retrieve clean towels from the laundry.
• Get towels from guests when they are exiting the pool area.
• Provides guests with resort wristbands.
• Ensures guests are comfortable and welcome.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the towel bar.
• Answers telephone, responding to guests’ questions in a professional manner.
• Attends mandatory monthly department meetings appropriate resort and division meetings.
• Learn and be proficient with the Resort pass reservation system.
• Notifies pool servers of guests’ special requests, events, etc.
• Completes all assigned side-work, obtaining the manager’s signature when complete.
• Informs server of any potential guest issues.
• Assists servers with monitoring guests for customer satisfaction, quality, and additional service.
• Provides general resort information for guests.
• Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell to all guests of La Cantera Resort and Spa including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest.
• Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events.
• Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
• Upsells other resort services and amenities to guests.
• Addresses any guest issue promptly and with concern.
• Offers guests assistance resort directions, activity suggestions, etc.
• Maintains a constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to the on-duty supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Some High school education required.
• At least one year work experience preferred.
• At least one year Hospitality experience preferred.
• At least one year of customer service experience required.
• Must have a friendly and welcoming personality.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holiday.
