YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Summary:
Customer Service Representatives serve as a key point ofcontact to provide a positive customer experience in a high volume and fastpaced environment. Primary activities include order taking, coordinating orderfulfillment, providing delivery information to customers and problemresolution.
Job Description:
- Take ownership to facilitatecustomer inquiries and complaints within the organization.
- Proactively utilize strong criticalthinking skills to drive issue resolution to ensure customer needs are met in atimely manner.
- Handle incoming requests fromcustomers and the sales team in a courteous and professional manner.
- Strive to provide a timely firstcall resolution utilizing designated technical support and business resources.
- Make outbound, proactive inquiriesto customers to cultivate rapport, build relationships and sustain long termcustomer partnerships.
- Receive customer orders via phone,email, fax, EDI, and other methods.Enter order requirements into ERP system promptly and accurately.
- Provide customer focused support(pricing, availability and expected shipping information) to customer viaphone, email and/or other methods.
- Process credit cards for orders asneeded.
- Receive expedite requests, obtainnecessary approvals, and arrange third party expedited transportationarrangements as needed.
- Quote products and pricing inaccordance within established parameters and guidelines.
- Routinely review open orders andresearch exceptions to ensure delivery expectations are being met. Escalateexceptions as needed.
- Research, review and obtainnecessary approvals for return requests and invoice adjustment requests.
- Cultivates rapport with customer,build relationships and sustains long term customer partnerships.
- Establish and maintain effectivebusiness relationships with other departments.
- Ensure customer purchase orderrecord retention within document retention guidelines.
- Support Customer Service Manager andcolleagues with other duties and projects as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor'sDegree in business administration, marketing, or industrial distribution preferred
- Two plusyears of Customer Service or Inside Sales experience preferred
- ComputerSkills: Proficient user of MS office
- Proficiencyin multitasking
- Ability to communicate clearly andprofessionally both in verbal and written correspondence.
- Demonstratesa commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Impeccableattention to detail and follow up skills.
- Ability toprioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt to change in theworkplace.
- Ability tosupport change in the workplace and effectively train team members.
- Teamwork oriented with provenresults motivating others within a team environment.
