Join the Best Restaurant in Tacoma! El Gaucho Tacoma's Sous Chef is a professional Chef responsible for all aspects of culinary operations and kitchen management. Responsibilities include overseeing kitchen team, creating menus, overseeing food purchases, managing cost of goods and inventory.
The ideal Sous Chef should have strong leadership skills, be highly organized, have excellent communications skills and have a passion for cooking. Sous Chef should be able to plan and delegate tasks to team and oversee all consistency and food quality in the kitchen.
Our Sous Chef will stay current with industry trends and participate in the development of new menu creations. The position requires extensive knowledge of culinary principles and a deep understanding of cost and profit management. Creative problem-solving and an eye for detail are the key skills for success in this role. A successful Sous Chef should be able to balance creative cooking with efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications:
Preferred Degree in Culinary Arts from an accredited culinary school or apprenticeship program and/or equivalent experience
Knowledge of basic computer applications such as Email, MS Office, Word, Excel.
Compensation:| $70-73k | Annual Salary
