The Promontory Club is looking to fulfill a vacancy for a Food and Beverage Fine Dining Steward (Dishwasher) Sage Modern Italian.


Sage Modern Italian
is one of the premiere restaurants at the center of Promontory Club. It features a wood-burning pizza oven, stunning views and exciting progressive menus.

The food style is clean, exciting and rooted on classic culinary foundations of Italian cuisine. This position will primarily be afternoon/evening shifts but may require slight changes in hours as needs arise. The best candidate will be hard working, self-starting and proactive in the workplace.

Stewards often have the opportunity to also rotate occasionally to The Peak, an Asian influence restaurant where seafood is the star and served in a relaxed sophisticated interior with majestic mountain views; or the Hearth Grill, a relaxed Fine Dining Steakhouse offering an elevated beef and seafood menu.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Always have a positive attitude, and be a team-oriented person.
  • Washing, drying, stacking and organizing the dishes, pots, silverware and utensils.
  • Emptying garbage throughout the shift.
  • Sweeping and mopping the floors daily.
  • Removing trash/boxes daily.
  • Cleaning floor mats and floor drains.
  • Keep the kitchen cleaned and orderly on a daily basis.
  • Maintain all cleaning standards set forth by the Executive Chef.
  • Follow all directions given by the Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work practices to management; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Other duties as assigned or as required to ensure the guest has a positive and satisfactory dining experience.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; must have or be able to acquire a State of Utah food handler's certification within the first two weeks of employment.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Previous experience working in a fine dining restaurant preferred; must have a high attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment all while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods of time; ability to lift 15lbs frequently and the ability to lift 50lbs occasionally; must be able to work in hot and cold environments; must be willing to work various hours, nights, holidays and weekends when needed; must be willing to work at any F&B outlet at Promontory when required.

Wages will be determined upon employment and will be commensurate with experience.

Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
