Job Description Job Summary The Java Developer I designs, modifies, develops, writes, and implements software programming applications. Supports and/or installs software applications. Participates in testing process through development of automated tests, test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Essential Functions
Maintain application environments.
Perform quality assurance and regression testing for each release to dev, test, and production and participate in department code reviews.
Responsible for full spectrum of the software development life-cycle.
Performs as a team member in the design development, coding, testing, and debugging new software or enhancements to existing software.
Builds, tests, and scales prototypes to support large scale operations.
Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Participate in team meetings and training as required.
May assist with sales cycle.

Experience and Skills Required Education and Experience
Requires 1 to 3 years or more of related experience in software development with strong Java programming skills, including JUnit
Relevant work experience with Java server technologies (Spring Framework, Spring Boot, microservice, Webservices)
Good understanding of object-oriented design and implementation is fundamental
Good understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (Gitlab, Jenkins and Docker) is fundamental
Strong communication skills - verbal and written (technical documentation)
Should have a good problem-solving attitude.
Preferred Education and Experience
BS/BA in Mathematics, Computer Science, or related (equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered in lieu of degree)
Experience with SQL Development, highly valuable
Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus
