Helpr is a care service platform that supports families in finding excellent full and part time primary and emergency (or backup) childcare providers, full and part time adult care providers/caregivers, and birth workers including doulas and Newborn Care Specialists.
*Please note - candidates will be hired by, work for, and paid directly by the hiring family*
We’re currently looking for a Part Time Nanny in Grass Valley.
A lovely family in Grass Valley is looking for a part time nanny for 15-20 hours/week to help care for their sweet 8 year old with special needs. Care is needed 3-4 hours each day, Monday through Friday, after school. An ideal candidate will be energetic, patient, fun, and have experience working with children who require a little extra patience and compassion.
The family lives in Downtown Grass Valley and within walking distance of a library, parks and play areas, ice cream shop, and lots of other fun things to do!
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday from 4pm-7/8pm and Thursday from 2pm-5/6pm
- Occasionally care will be needed from 2pm-5/6pm on Friday instead of Thursday, but family will let you know well in advance
- Start date: ASAP
- Family needs care for at least the next 3 months, possibly longer
- Rate: $20-25/hr
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Care for one 8-year-old with special needs
- Child’s 10-year-old sibling may also be at the house, but care is primarily needed for the 8-year-old
- Meal & snack prep
- Engaging, playing with the child
- Homework help
- Outings to get ice cream, go to the library, visit the playground, etc (all within walking distance)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Authorized to work in the United States
- 2 years of paid, professional childcare experience
- CPR certified or willing to become certified
- Has valid driver’s license and own reliable transportation
- Must be comfortable with family’s friendly dog

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
