Helpr is a care service platform that supports families in finding excellent full and part time primary and emergency (or backup) childcare providers, full and part time adult care providers/caregivers, and birth workers including doulas and Newborn Care Specialists.

We’re currently looking for a Part Time Care Companion in Culver City.

A lovely, humorous woman in Culver City is looking for a Part Time Care Companion. Care is needed two days per week, Monday (preferred) and Thursday (required) from 10am - 5pm. Her ideal Care Companion will be friendly, compassionate, and understand how to persuade someone to engage in self-care and hygiene needs while maintaining their privacy and dignity. The right candidate will also be willing to drive her to get her hair cut, doctor’s appointments, and to the local senior center (all within 5 miles of her home).

• Schedule: Monday (preferred, but flexible to someone available on Tuesdays instead) and Thursday each week from 10am to 5pm each day
• Start date: As soon as the right person is found
• Long term
• Rate: $25/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Companion care for one client
• Meal prep - client needs softer foods and family would love to find someone who is open to suggesting new, healthy options for her
• Personal hygiene care - persuading her to get a shower, apply lotion to her feet, etc
• Transportation to hair salon, doctor’s appointments, and nearby senior center to socialize
• Encouraging client to be active
• Engaging with client via conversation, etc

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years experience with in-home adult care
• Must have a valid driver’s license, own reliable transportation, and clean driving record
• CPR certified or willing to become certified
• Must be comfortable working in the home with client’s 2 cats

Compensation: Position pays $25 per hour and the client is looking for 14 hours of care per week long term
