Helpr is a care service platform that supports families in finding excellent full and part time primary and emergency (or backup) childcare providers, full and part time adult care providers/caregivers, and birth workers including doulas and Newborn Care Specialists.

We’re currently looking for an Occasional Care Companion in Lexington, SC (29072).

A lovely family in Lexington is looking for a trustworthy and patient Care Companion to provide occasional care for their 25 year old son with special needs. This would be an as-needed position with care hours scheduled in advance. An experienced provider who can maintain the client’s privacy and independence while also establishing a light-hearted and easygoing approach to caregiving will be ideal.

• Schedule:
• Occasional, as needed
• Weekdays, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights
• 4 hour minimum shifts
• Care days and times scheduled in advance

• Start date: ASAP
• End date: Long term
• Rate: $23-28/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Excellent companion care and supervision for one client
• Assistance with daily living activities (bathing, grooming), as-needed
• Light meal preparation
• Support with light housekeeping tasks related to client care
• Medication administration

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years paid, professional caregiving experience
• Special needs experience required
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• CPR certified or willing to become certified
• Comfortable with family’s small, easygoing dog

Compensation: Position pays $23-28 per hour and the client is looking for occasional care, long term.
