ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
Registrar Functional Analyst
ABOUT THIS POSITION
Summary:
This role offers technical support for both new and ongoing projects within the Registrar’s Office, aids Registrar staff by generating necessary reports, and ensures compliance with Registrar Office reporting requirements. Additionally, it contributes to the planning and coordination of implementing new technologies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
Coordinates reports for the Registrar’s Office, which includes creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting reports. Collaborates with Institutional Research when needed. Demonstrates understanding of institutional and external data, as well as data-driven principles related to the institution’s strategic plan, mission, and values.
Analyzes and documents existing processes and systems, completes regular quality assurance on system processes, and makes recommendations for enhancements; provides technical assistance and training; and develops user documentation.
Assists in maintaining Degree Works, including updating approved changes to program requirements and course prerequisites, troubleshooting problems, and testing upgrades.
Coordinates electronic forms (Softdocs) for the Registrar’s Office, including creation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaboration with other campus resources as needed.
Maintains knowledge of Registrar office software systems. Participates in projects relating to new systems or upgrading of existing systems, including system testing and validation for functionality, implementation, and review phases of work.
Manages uploads/downloads between CMU’s university and external third-party partners.
Updates the Registrar’s Office web pages as necessary.
Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Systems and Information Integration, the Registrar Functional Analyst maintains current knowledge of all functions of the Registrar’s Office and assumes front counter duties on a regularly scheduled basis.
Minimum Qualifications Required:
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
•A minimum of three years of technical related experience, Or a bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer information systems.
•Must be detail oriented.
•Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing.
•Must be able to deal diplomatically and professionally with people.
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
•Demonstrated ability to learn new software systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Knowledge of JavaScript, SQL, Power BI, and Power Query.
•Knowledge of Ellucian Banner, Degree Works, and Softdocs eForms.
•Experience in higher education or related professional environment.
•High level of computer skills with various software systems.
