    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications or Human Services Field and at least five years of experience in non-profit fundraising and development, human services experience, food shelf/ food security areas and/or closely related field or a combination of education and/or experience to total nine years.
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Demonstrated management experience, preferably within a food shelf or human services setting
    • Demonstrated knowledge of fundraising and development
    • Demonstrated knowledge of grant writing
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability
    • Cultural competence and experience working with diverse populations
    • Excellent organizational, time management skills
    • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong analytical, leadership and planning skills
    • Strong technology skills
    • Demonstrated knowledge with Pantry Saver client-based software, Little Green Light donor management system software, or other donor and client software preferred
    Responsibilities:
    • Manage the day to day operations of the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf including management of a 4.3-million-dollar budget (of which $1.2 million is in- kind donations of food and non-food, toy and school supplies).
    • Collaborate with the Community Education Director and Executive Director of Business Services to prepare annual budget and provide ongoing feedback in terms of fund balance, changes in funding and programming and community needs that could impact the budget.
    • Create, direct, promote and manage a fundraising/development/strategy that creates long term sustainability for the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf and Community Resource Center. Explore and create unique/innovative ways to fundraise to build a strong pipeline of funds to support existing and new programming. Identify new partners and funding streams that are a good fit for specific programs and services. Write grants and apply, and respond to requests for new funders.
    • Oversee management of donor management software. Analyze donor data and trends within donor management software systems to stay aware of campaign goals, key stakeholders, tracking grants, and large donations of both money and food. Review and sign-off on acknowledgements.
    • Collaborate with district public relations to create and prepare content, graphics and flyers for marketing materials, fundraisers, website, online giving platforms, donor and volunteer newsletters, client surveys, district communication, social media and other written materials.
    • Coordinate with Student Support and Services on McKinney Vento building trainings, documentation and support plans.
    • Network and regularly communicate with other service partners, East Metro Food Shelf Network, Hunger Partners, Suburban Ramsey Family Collaborative, School Linked Social Workers, and Ramsey County Human Services to stay up to date on new low income and crisis resources for families, funding, compliance regulations, product availability, etc.
    • Coordinate Resources and perform short term case management for School District Families/Students in crisis. Work with at-risk families and individuals to ensure that they have the tools and resources they need. Handle referrals coming from Principals, cultural liaisons, equity specialists, deans, teachers, and other student services support staff. Schedule and coordinate food assistance deliveries to schools participating in School Nutrition/Snackpack programs for at-risk food insecure students.
    • Lead, manage, supervise, direct and support the program, staff and volunteers. Initiate and schedule staff meetings, performance reviews and feedback sessions.
    • Respond to questions and concerns from staff and volunteers and work with the Basic Needs Supervisor to ensure that the mission and day to day policies, procedures and activities are being carried out as successfully and efficiently as possible in order to meet the needs and requirements of all of stakeholders.
    • Oversee and direct purchases of all inventory and supplies for the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf and Community Resource Center including perishable and non-perishable foods, hygiene, cleaning supplies, baby care, gift cards, holiday items, toys, school supplies, equipment, office furniture, gift cards and office supplies.
    • Produce queries and reports and submit reports on these items monthly and/or as needed for district, state, federal organizations and hunger partners.
    • Administer and monitor food shelf compliance regulations as set forth by the USDA and The Emergency Assistance Program (TEFAP) as well as Second Harvest Heartland in regards to food safety, cooling logs, food distributions and civil rights. Respond to food recalls and safety concerts quickly and as needed. Meet with Second Harvest staff and USDA staff for site visits as needed.
    • Other related duties as assigned.

    Sitting, standing, walking: twisting, bending, stooping, squatting and climbing stairs, crouching, pulling, pushing, climbing ladders, twisting while lifting, sweeping, extended reaches of 10 pounds overhead and lifting up to 50 lbs.
