Hunting Energy Services is Hiring a CNC Programmer 1 Near Stafford, TX

CNC Programmers will develop and incorporate CNC programs utilizing Esprit CAD/CAM program for the programming of products including related documentation. Will assist with the conception, design, implementation of processes, and equipment integration with machine tools used during the manufacturing processes. Also creates operations, tests and recommends tooling, and as needed setup procedures used to produce product on available machines. Responsible for part evaluation and program development with consideration of cost, machine optimization, and personnel utilization.

Responsibilities:

Part Programs:

  • Translate the product design features of engineering drawing files into a C.N.C. programs.
  • Demonstrate ability to write programs and work with manufacturing to ensure all programs are accurate.
  • Edit and update programs as required due to engineering changes or manufacturing.
  • Manage program revision control and security.

Technology:

  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering Department with technology related project planning for optimization in both Setup and Run times.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all relevant current technology.
  • Assist with keeping all programing software up to date and working properly.

DNC System Utilization:

  • Responsible for implementing system changes and or updates.
  • Monitor and maintain network activity and all equipment related to the Programs.
  • Monitor and maintain DNC application modules and coordinate issues and functional requirements.
  • Oversee implementation of new machine connection to DNC.
  • Other technical duties as required or as assigned by higher roles.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Required: Associates degree from two-year College or trade school Must have education or work experience with a CAD/CAM software package.
  • Preferred: Associates degree from two-year College, trade school and/or 3 to 5 years equivalent manufacturing work experience in a programming position. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Technology, or Manufacturing Engineering from a four-year College or University
  • Programming experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations. Ability to read and write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients or customers.
  • Ability to work with and apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This position requires an onsite presence to perform the essential duties.

Work Environment/Conditions:

  • The work environment of this position will require working in a Production Floor environment while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is routinely exposed to manufacturing plant conditions, but may also require the employee to be outdoors on occasion.
  • Limited travel will be required to support offsite personnel and business projects.
  • Occasional assignments will require remote accessing and may include evenings and/or weekends.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Employee will occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
