Hunting Energy Services is Hiring a Production Scheduling Supervisor Near Fryeburg, ME

Job Description

Hunting, Dearborn Division is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented, Production Scheduling Supervisor, to join our team in Fryeburg, ME. A Production Scheduling Supervisor oversees and contributes to the development, distribution and maintenance of production schedules to maximize efficiency while meeting throughput and delivery date objectives. The scheduling team monitors daily production results and develops revised plans in response to actual shop floor performance. Utilizes manufacturing ERP and business intelligence software for planning and scheduling functions with supporting spreadsheets and an SQL database to maintain the master schedule and generate reporting.

The ideal Production Scheduling Supervisor candidate will have 3-5 years of work-related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a technical field. Effective verbal and written communication are essential skills. We desire a solid foundation in high school math and the ability to efficiently problem solve.

Responsibilities

  • Complete data driven weekly reports.
  • Customer open orders.
  • Resource wait-time.
  • Weekly Sales/ Shipping forecast.
  • Work order predicted delivery dates.
  • Human and machine resource load and capacity.
  • Work order suggested release dates.
  • Perform software maintenance.
  • Human and machine resource calendar updates.
  • Human and machine resource additions and subtractions.
  • Human and resource group assignments for optimized production flow.
  • Analyze data to identify and resolve production flow bottlenecks.
  • Work with Manufacturing Managers to plan and achieve a monthly ship list.
  • Coordinate the effort of the production schedulers.
  • Estimate project lead time using the scheduling software predictor and alternate gameplans as well as Excel spreadsheets.
  • Create expedite plans to complete critical jobs.
  • Extended hours target recommendations.
  • Work with Operations Manager to create the path with people and resources.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3-5 years of related work history along with a Technical degree.
  • Contributor to a team environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate advanced skills in Excel and Word.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Mathematical thinking and processing.
  • Ability to create and maintain systems of organization.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to write basic SQL queries.
  • Analyze and interpret resource load and capacity data using Excel and Power BI Tools.
  • Must be a logical thinker with the ability to connect a linear progression of events.
  • Has the ability to train others.
